Venbrook Names Pippin Chief Claims Officer
Venbrook Group, LLC, an independent insurance, benefits, claims, and risk services firms in the U.S., announced the appointment of Louis Pippin as Chief Claims Officer, Venbrook Claims Services.
Venbrook Claims Services offers clients a single supplier option for Third Party Administrator (TPA) and Independent Adjusting (IA) claims to mitigate and reduce risks and losses on a global basis.
With vast expertise in claims management, Pippen comes with nearly 30 years of experience and an extensive background in the areas of multi-line P&C liability lines, case management, cost control, compliance standards, and related service delivery of claims and claims handling.
Most recently with McLarens where he spent five years developing the commercial property claims program, Pippin also held positions at State Insurance Fund and Midlands Claims Administrators, Inc.
Additionally, Venbrook announced four key promotions to the leadership team:
- Sarah Novakovich becomes Chief Operating Officer, Venbrook Claims Services
- Angelique King becomes Executive Vice President, Carl Warren & Company
- Marc Pittinaro becomes Executive Vice President, Venbrook Claims Services
- Suzie Spencer becomes Vice President, Business Development for Carl Warren & Company
Short Joins CRU GROUP
Michelle Short joins the Canadian Team as Claims Technical Manager, announced David Repinski, CEO of CRU GROUP.
As Claims Technical Manager, Short will be responsible for providing mentorship to the adjusting team with client specific claims processes and procedures, specifically with technical requirements.
Based in Calgary, Alberta, Short will report to Russ Fitzgerald, SVP & North American Director of Transportation Services.
Carey Named VP of Claims for MedMal Direct
Florida-based MedMal Direct Insurance Company (MDIC), the direct-to-physician medical professional liability insurance carrier, named Steven Carey vice president of Claims, effective immediately.
Carey’s promotion follows the recent addition of Jeremy Leal as senior claims specialist.
Carey most recently served as the assistant vice president of Claims for MedMal Direct Insurance Company and has more than 14 years of claims management experience in medical professional liability.
The company operates in nine states: Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas, offering medical professional liability insurance directly to physicians and surgeons.
