Wausau Benefits Selects Captiva’s ClaimPack for Health Claims Processing
Captiva Software Corp. a provider of enterprise input management solutions, announced that Wisconsin-based Wausau Benefits, a third-party health and benefit plan administrators, has selected ClaimPack(TM), Captiva’s claims processing solution, to capture and process the more than 3.3 million HCFA and UB92 medical claim forms and related documents the company receives every year.
This latest contract extends the relationship between Captiva and Wausau Benefits, which for years has utilized Captiva’s InScript(TM) optical character recognition (OCR) engine within its own in-house claims processing system to extract data contained within claim forms.
By upgrading to ClaimPack, Wausau Benefits will be able to process more claims by employing an advanced solution that automatically “reads” information contained on HCFA and UB92 claim forms, analyzes, corrects and validates the data and exports the information into enterprise systems. Wausau Benefits will also expand ClaimPack’s use to additional claim types, such as dental claims and HCFA’s printed in black ink.
