ESIS Celebrates 50th Anniversary at RIMS Conference
ESIS, Inc., the risk management services arm of ACE USA, will kick off its 50th anniversary celebration at the 2003 Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS) conference in Chicago next month.
ESIS president Edward Troy will join ESIS customers and associates in marking the milestone at the ACE USA booth at the RIMS conference on Monday, April 7, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Founded in 1953, ESIS is recognized as a pioneer in the field of risk management services.
ESIS originated as the self-insured services department of the former Pacific Employers Group (PEG) in California. Incorporated in 1953, the company administered claims for a group of employers that chose to self-fund claim payments for workers’ compensation and liability risks.
The original self-insured services concept has since evolved into a wider range of products and services for a diverse group of industries. In addition to compensation and liability claim management, ESIS now offers a full range of sophisticated risk management services, including integrated disability management, risk control consulting, catastrophe management, risk management information systems, strategic consulting, and recovery management products and services.
ESIS became part of the ACE Group of Companies in 1999, following ACE’s purchase of the U.S. property and casualty operations of CIGNA Corporation.
