RTW Tabs Murphy as New CEO
Minnesota-based RTW, Inc. announced that the Board of Directors has elected Jeffrey Murphy, the company’s current CFO to the position of president and CEO of RTW effective immediately.
Murphy succeeds J. Alexander Fjelstad, president and CEO since December 2001, who notified RTW that he would not renew his employment contract. Fjelstad also resigned as a director of the company effective immediately.
Murphy has served as CFO of the company since 2000 and has been with RTW since 1994. Murphy further named Alfred LaTendresse, the company’s current executive vice president and former CFO from 1990 to 1998, to the position of executive vice president and CFO of the company, effective immediately.
The company further announced that the Board elected John Goodwyne as chairman of the Board effective immediately and further named David Prosser chairman emeritus of the Board.
RTW, Inc. manages workers’ compensation programs for insured and self-insured employers using its proprietary management systems, the RTW SOLUTION(R) and ID15(R). RTW’s workers’ compensation management system is designed to lower employers’ costs and return injured employees to work as soon as possible.
