Ohio Department Hosts 2004 Fraud Seminar on March 3
The Ohio Department of Insurance will host the 2004 Insurance Fraud Seminar on Wednesday, March 3, that will focus on the rapid growth of increasingly sophisticated insurance schemes in Ohio.
The seminar will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Villa Milano Banquet and Conference Center located at 1630 Schrock Road in Columbus and will continue through 4:30 p.m.
The seminar will feature presentations by individuals from the insurance, legal and academic communities on such topics as chiropractic fraud investigations, unauthorized entities, staged accident rings, federal prosecutions, agent misconduct and health care fraud prosecutions.
Notable speakers include Department of Insurance Director Ann Womer Benjamin; keynote speaker, The Honorable Greg Lockhart, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio; and Mila Kofman, J.D., assistant research professor at the Georgetown University Health Policy Institute, who is recognized nationally as an insurance regulation expert.
