Ohio Insurance Department Names New Deputy Director
The Ohio Department of Insurance has announced the appointment of Peg Ising as the new deputy director of the Department. Ising replaces Holly Saelens, who left the Department to take a job in the private sector.
Ising has worked at the Department for over 23 years serving as assistant director of the Property and Casualty Division and most recently as assistant director of Life and Health. As deputy director, Ising will oversee the Department’s administrative functions and will continue to play an important role in crafting life and health policy. Ising has, on an interim basis, overseen the Department’s Licensing, Consumer Services, and Financial Regulation Divisions.
“Peg’s institutional knowledge of the Department and the insurance market generally makes her a perfect fit for this important position,” Insurance Director Womer Benjamin said. “Peg is a zealous advocate for state insurance regulation and has provided input into many national insurance initiatives.”
