Wisconsin Communities Sign Up for Terrorism Insurance
Communities across the country and some in Wisconsin have signed up for domestic terrorism insurance.
Local leaders say that while the likelihood of a terrorist attack is low, it’s still an insurance policy that makes sense.
West Baraboo trustee Brucer Meyer says for $87 a year, the community is protected against many scenarios, such as vandalism of the water tower or contamination of the water supply.
Wisconsin’s Local Government Property Insurance Fund has terrorism coverage in its pool policy, serving more than 1,100 towns and counties.
