$5K Reward Offered in Pair of Ohio Fires
Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information on a pair of fires ruled suspicious in Chillicothe in southern Ohio.
A camper was found burning on April 18 and crews responded the following day to a vacant home that was on fire. No injuries were reported.
The reward is being offered by the State Fire Marshal’s office, where spokesman Shane Cartmill says even bits of information that seem very minor may be important to investigators.
Cartmill says there’s no evidence to connect the two fires to each other, or to other recent fires in the area. He says it’s usually just a coincidence when one suspicious fire occurs near another.
