Illinois Community Reports $10M in Tornado Damage
Officials in the central Illinois community of Williamsville estimate about $10 million of damage after a tornado hit last week.
Williamsville Village President Thomas Yokley says the community is in better shape after a clean-up program and another could be scheduled in the coming days.
At least two tornados struck central Illinois last week. Williamsville was hit the hardest.
Authorities say dozens of village buildings were damaged and there were about a dozen injuries, although none were life-threatening.
Williamsville is about 10 miles northeast of Springfield and has around 1,400 people.
