Food Warehouse Roof in Fargo, North Dakota, Collapses from Snow, Ice
Authorities say snow and ice buildup led to roof collapses at a large food warehouse in Fargo, N.D.
Fire Department Capt. Mike Hendrickson says no one was hurt in the collapses.
Hendrickson says a 100-by-100-foot section of the Sysco Food Systems roof collapsed just before midnight Feb. 8, breaking the sprinkler system and flooding parts of the building. A 50-by-100-foot section collapsed about 7 a.m. Feb. 9.
Hendrickson says the first section of roof landed on some heavy metal racks, but the second section plunged all the way to the floor.
