Former Michigan TV Anchor Sued Over Auto Accident
Former television news anchor Fanchon Stinger is being sued over an accident in which an ex-boyfriend driving her Ferrari sports car hit a motorcyclist.
The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press reported that David Sugg filed the suit against Stinger and Rayford Jackson.
The suit claims Jackson hit Sugg in May 2007 on Interstate 696 just north of Detroit. The car was registered to Stinger who at time worked for WJBK-TV, Detroit’s Fox network affiliate.
Sugg alleges he suffered shock, and physical and mental pain from the accident.
Stinger and WJBK parted ways in 2008 following allegations that her private consulting firm had done work for a company linked to City Hall bribery. Jackson is serving five years in prison for his role in the case.
