Minor Earthquake Rattles County in Northeast Ohio
A minor earthquake has been reported in northeastern Ohio.
Mike Hansen of the Ohio Seismic Network says the quake with an estimated 2.7 magnitude happened around 11:35 a.m. on June 3 in Medina County, southwest of Cleveland. It lasted only a few seconds, but some residents reported they heard a boom or felt shaking, as though an explosion had occurred.
Hansen says it’s the type of earthquake people might feel, but it’s not likely to cause damage.
No serious injuries were immediately reported.
