Minnesota Supper Club Owner Charged with Arson
A supper club owner is charged in Aitkin County with starting the fire that destroyed the business.
A yearlong investigation by local, state and federal officials into the fire at the Carlsona Beach Supper Club on Mille Lacs Lake resulted in an arson charge against owner Ronald Wise. He’s also charged with felony fraud in obtaining credit and filing a false tax return.
The 47-year-old Brainerd man is being held in the Aitkin County Jail. He was scheduled to make a court appearance Monday. The Brainerd Daily Dispatch reports the fire that destroyed the restaurant on Highway 18 west of Malmo happened April 26, 2010.
