FEMA Extends Individual Aid to 3 North Dakota Counties
Gov. Jack Dalrymple said Morton, Renville and McHenry counties have been declared eligible for individual flood aid from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
President Obama earlier approved individual assistance for homeowners and business owners in Ward and Burleigh counties.
Dalrymple has asked FEMA to provide Individual Assistance in 22 counties and two Indian reservations hard hit by flooding.
FEMA officials said Wednesday that they will next review flood damages in Ramsey, Benson and Nelson counties.
FEMA helps cover costs to repair public infrastructure in areas declared federal disasters. Aid for individual victims helps with costs not covered by insurance and is approved only if damage is severe.
