Michigan Campaign Focuses on Commercial Vehicle Drivers
Michigan State Police motor carriers will focus enforcement in the coming week on commercial vehicle moving violations, seat belt use and driver inspections.
Operation Safe Driver began Sunday and runs through Oct. 22.
The national effort is aimed at reducing crashes involving commercial vehicles and looks at behaviors of commercial vehicle drivers.
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration want to increase awareness of the effort.
