South Dakota State Building Fire Ruled Accidental
A fire that heavily damaged an agricultural building at South Dakota State University has been ruled accidental, but the cause might never be known.
KSFY-TV reports that the Brookings Fire Department, the state fire marshal, the state crime bureau and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agree that the blaze early Friday was accidental.
Brookings Fire Chief Darrell Hartmann says the calf building was so badly damaged that it was not possible for investigators to pinpoint an exact cause.
No people or animals were hurt in the fire that engulfed the main part of the calf building and destroyed vehicles inside.
