North Dakota Man Arrested for 14th Drunken Driving Offense
A judge has set bond at $15,000 for a West Fargo, N.D., man accused of what prosecutors say is his 14th drunken driving offense.
Sixty-year-old Kevin Tegtmeier was arrested Friday night. Authorities allege he had a fictitious license plate, and that his blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit for driving.
Prosecutors asked for a $10,000 bail but Judge Wade Webb imposed the higher amount because of Tegtmeier’s past offenses.
Defense attorney Nick Thornton did not immediately respond to an Associated Press request for comment Tuesday.
