Illinois Man Dies After Workplace Fall
Authorities in east-central Illinois are investigating the death of a 51-year-old worker in a five-story fall at a plant in Danville.
The (Danville) Commercial-News reports that Brett Hauk of Danville died in the Thursday evening accident.
In a news release, Vermilion County Coroner Peggy Johnson says Hauk was pronounced dead after he fell five floors from a lift at the Pepsico Quaker plant. An autopsy is planned.
The Danville Police Department and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration are also investigating.
