OSHA: Swans Blamed for Illinois Man’s Death
Federal safety officials say the swans were to blame for the death of a Villa Park, Ill., man in April.
WBBM reports investigators from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration worked to determine if any safety violations contributed to Hensley’s death. The agency has now cleared his employer, saying it found no violations.
WBBM reports that Hensley was a good swimmer but ended up in the water fully clothed and wearing boots. Police say the swans continued to swim at him as he tried to make it to shore.
