Central Indiana Youth Sues Motorist Over Sledding Accident
A central Indiana youth is suing over a sledding accident in which he was injured when his sled struck a tree.
Colin J. Walker’s suit seeks damages from motorist David Smith for the January 2012 sledding accident. The Star Press reports the Greenwood youth’s suit alleges he was riding on the sled being pulled by Smith’s vehicle when Smith drove negligently, “causing the sled to lose control and strike a tree.”
Smith says he suffered permanent injuries. His complaint says that because Smith had no liability insurance, Walker’s medical expenses should be covered by United Farm Family Mutual Insurance of Indianapolis, which is also named as a defendant in the suit.
