June Traffic Accidents in North Dakota Down From 2013
Traffic accidents in Williston, N.D., fell dramatically in June compared to the same time a year ago.
Officials in the northwestern North Dakota city have been emphasizing safety on the roads since oil patch traffic began to increase several years ago.
The Williston Herald reports there were 113 accidents reported in the city limits in June, compared to 151 accidents in June 2012.
Traffic accidents in May were also down from the May 2012.
Not all the numbers were positive. Police say there were 35 hit-and-run accidents in June, matching the number from a year earlier.
