Search on for Cause of Indiana Warehouse Fire
Fire officials in Fort Wayne, Ind., are turning their attention to finding what caused a massive blaze that destroyed at least six buildings in an old industrial complex.
Firefighters worked through the night to extinguish hot spots after needing more than six hours before they were able to put the fire largely out Monday night.
Deputy Fire Chief Mark Nelson tells The News-Sentinel that investigators would be at the complex east of the city’s downtown on Tuesday.
He says the buildings were largely warehouses with items such as wooden pallets.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries but no one else was reported hurt.
WANE-TV reports excavation crews worked Tuesday night moving debris so firefighters could pour water on smoldering areas.
