Illinois Fire Marshal Introduces New Fire Investigating Dog
She’s just three years old and already she is a valued arson investigator with the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s office.
Her name is Zoe and on Tuesday, the office introduced her along with her new partner, Mitch Kushner. A news release says the two will take part in fire marshal investigations as well as assist state and local authorities in investigations of crime scenes.
Milly Santiago of the state fire marshal’s office says Zoe put on a demonstration Tuesday to show what she’s capable of.
Santiago says Zoe has undergone intensive training and that since May she has been involved in 26 fire investigations.
