Two Michigan School Buses Destroyed by Fire
Authorities in Saginaw County, Mich., say electrical problems caused a blaze that destroyed two school buses and damaged two more.
WSGW-AM reports Monday that damage to the four Saginaw Intermediate School District buses from the Saturday night fire is estimated at $300,000. The cause stemmed from trouble with a system designed to prevent diesel-powered engines from freezing.
A district spokeswoman says the damage hasn’t affected transportation service.
The buses were at the Saginaw Township Community School District garage.
