Railroad Crossing Blamed for Crashes at Indianapolis Home
An Indianapolis couple is blaming a railroad crossing for their house or their vehicles being hit numerous times over the years.
The latest crash happened Sunday when an SUV barreled into the house, knocking in a living room wall and window and damaging the foundation.
Residents Tim and Leigh McCall weren’t hurt, while fire officials say the SUV driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The McCalls tells WTHR-TV and WISH-TV they’ve had 11 crashes during the 30 years they’ve lived at the house west of downtown Indianapolis. The house or their parked cars have been hit three times each, along with the fire hydrant and a utility pole.
They say drivers are going too fast when they go over the railroad crossing and get airborne.
