South Dakota Workers Injured in Ferris Wheel Construction Mishap
Two men working on construction of a Ferris wheel at the Scheels store in Sioux Falls, S.D., were hurt when an electric motor fell about 15 feet
The workers were taken to a hospital Wednesday afternoon with injuries that police said were not life-threatening.
A Scheels manager declined comment to the Argus Leader.
Scheels is based in Fargo, N.D. It has 24 sporting goods stores in 10 states. The store in Sioux Falls is undergoing a $25 million expansion that includes a shooting gallery, bowling alley, restaurant and the Ferris wheel.
