Wisconsin Furniture Store Destroyed by Fire
Firefighters from at least seven departments responded to a blaze that’s destroyed a furniture store in Prairie du Chien, Wis.
Slumberland Furniture at the Black Hawk Junction mall went up in flames Sunday night. Nearby businesses sustained smoke damage and area homes were evacuated as a precaution.
WKBT-TV reports Prairie du Chien Fire Chief Harry Renz says firefighters were able to begin fighting the fire from inside the building, but then set up an aerial attack because of concerns about the roof collapsing.
There are no reports of injuries.
