‘Clean Streets’ Program Now Open to Agents Doing Business with The Hartford
The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. has opened its street cleaners insurance program to all independent agents doing business with The Hartford. Hartford-affiliated agents can place their clients’ business directly with the company.
The Hartford’s Clean Streets Insurance Program, launched in 2002, is designed to meet the insurance needs of contractors whose businesses involve street sweeping operations, construction sweeping, cleaning of parking lots and catch basin cleaning services.
“The Hartford’s reputation for quality, stability and integrity makes this program attractive to the 3,500 independent sweeping contractors working the streets, byways and other thoroughfares throughout the country,” said Denise Kubica, The Hartford’s specialty programs underwriting manager. “We also offer customer-oriented claims management and loss control services and are pleased to increase this program’s availability to our agents.”
The Clean Streets program offers a wide array of coverages for street cleaning contractors as well as a diverse selection of special features.
The features include a per project aggregate that provides a separate limit of liability for each project and an auto lay-up credit that provides an up-front credit for companies located in the snow belt states that refrain from using their sweeping equipment during the winter months. The program includes workers’ compensation with The Hartford’s return-to-work services and The Hartford’s Property Choice endorsement to protect buildings and business personal property. Umbrella coverage is also available.
