PCI to Hold Inaugural Annual Meeting in October
Bill O’Reilly, Fox News’ controversial, irascible and outspoken commentator, will highlight a line-up of nationally known speakers at the inaugural Annual Meeting of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI). The meeting is scheduled for Oct. 24-27, 2004 in Washington, D.C.
PCI was formed in January by the merger of the National Association of Independent Insurers (NAII) and the Alliance of American Insurers. While the association has conducted nearly a dozen educational conferences and seminars since the merger, the Annual Meeting will be the largest event ever conducted by the new organization.
In addition to O’Reilly, other confirmed speakers include:
Frank Luntz, the Republican Party’s leading pollster and political consultant, will provide a glimpse of what the Nov. 4 election may hold in store for insurers.
Capt. Michael Abrashoff, author of “It’s Your Ship,” will provide attendees with his unique views on maximizing productivity.
John Bogle, founder of the Vanguard Funds, will address how he maintained the Fund’s reputation as a model of integrity in an industry tainted by scandal.
Jim Glassman, a renowned writer and speaker on finance and economics, will offer his thoughts on where the economy is headed in 2005.
And a distinguished panel of CEOs will sketch out what they think the industry will look like in 2014.
“Equally important, members will have the chance to meet with PCI’s new president, Ernst Csiszar,” said Joanne Orfanos, senior vice president, public affairs for PCI. “The Tuesday, Oct. 26 program will feature a member luncheon with Mr. Csiszar where CEOs can discuss the major issues facing insurers and the association in a relaxed and informal setting.”
More than 1,000 attendees have already registered for the meeting, according to PCI, and over 1,600 are expected to participate.
More information on the Annual Meeting, including registration materials, can be found on the PCI Web site – www.pciaa.net – or by calling the association’s Annual Meeting hotline at (877) 309-1565.
