Specialty Risk Services Teams with CCN
Specialty Risk Services (SRS), a national property casualty third party administrator for workers’ compensation and general liability claims, announced a collaboration with Michigan-based Crisis Care Network to help retailers deal with the effects of workplace violence.
SRS recently completed a study of workers’ comp trends in the retail industry based upon industry recognized data and interviews with its retailer client-base, accounting for 24% of SRS’ overall business. One of the most commonly-cited concerns for retailers managing workers’ comp exposures is reportedly workplace violence, robberies, and general overall security concerns in today’s post 9-11 environment.
Since almost half of all workplace violence in the United States occurs in the retail industry, having the resources to cope with the effects of workplace violence for retailers is reportedly imperative. To help address these concerns, SRS formed an alliance with Crisis Care Network, a provider of critical incident response services in the world. Crisis Care Network helps clients control costs associated with trauma by reducing its impact, and accelerating resilience at individual and workgroup levels, thereby accelerating productivity and return-to-work for the organization.
In order to address critical incident scenarios most common to the retail industry, Crisis Care Network has created retail-customized services such as on-site group and individual responses, teledefusing, post-response support, on-site grief and loss counseling and downsizing support.
