Castle Inspection Service Teams Up with Marshall & Swift/Boeckh

October 25, 2005

Castle Inspection Service (Castle) and Marshall & Swift / Boeckh (MS/B), an MDA company, announced the formation of a strategic alliance. Castle is refocusing its resources on its core strategy – inspection services – rather than on its online replacement cost estimator and will now offer MS/B residential estimating solutions through its field inspection services.

Additionally, Castle will join MS/B’s Advisory Board as a consultant, with a special emphasis and expertise on high value homes.

“The expertise that Castle brings to this strategic alliance is a valuable adjunct to the technology and services that MS/B already provides to the property and casualty insurance arena. This strategic alliance creates more important market opportunities as well as greater depth in MS/B’s and Castle’s roster of business solutions, ” said Peter M. Wells, President of MS/B.

Castle and MS/B will be heavily leveraging technology to integrate each other’s business processes. This system-to-system integration will allow the two companies to deliver an unparalleled level of service to their joint customers.

“I am confident that this new partnership with MS/B will solidify Castle’s position as the premier provider of outsourced inspection services,” Jeff Smith, President of Castle. “Inspections have always been the heart of our business. This partnership creates new opportunities to expand our coverage base and focus on providing superior quality and service to our clients.”

Castle continues to provide its replacement cost data though its high value and standard inspection services, but will cease marketing its online replacement cost calculator directly to underwriters and agents. All current Castle Estimator customers will be fully supported through their contract term.
