CoreSource Purchases Third Party Administrator NGS American Inc.

CoreSource Inc., a third-party employee benefit administrator, has acquired St. Clair Shores, Mich.-based third-party administrator NGS American Inc.

NGS American provides medical, dental and disability benefit administration, as well as COBRA administration, eligibility management services and flexible spending account administration. Founded by Bill Alcott in 1979, NGS has 380 employees and currently administers self-funded group health plans covering more than 300,000 employees and dependents located in all 50 states.

NGS American will operate as a distinct unit of CoreSource, retaining its name and management team, led by NGS President Kim Gunter. Alcott will continue his relationship with the company as a consultant. In addition, NGS customer benefit plans will continue to be administered on the NGS claim processing system.
