Enterprise Launches Text and Email Repair Status Alert System
Enterprise Rent-A-Car launched a new repair status notification system that uses text and email messages to keep customers instantly updated on the status of their vehicle repairs.
The new tool reflects the preference of customers of all ages to receive repair status updates by email and text, as indicated in a recent JD Power & Associates study.
Customer repair status notification is available to all body shops using the ARMS Automotive Data Manager application. The feature allows a shop to update not only the Enterprise rental customers but all of the shop’s repair customers.
“Having a choice between sending a customized or automated message is one of the best features of the new customer notification application, because each customer is unique,” said Jesse Elizondo, shop manager and estimator for Auto World Collision Center in Valencia, California. He added that having that choice was one of the main reasons he switched from using another system that was 100 percent automated. Elizondo says 80 percent of his customers prefer text messages to email.
