Mitchell Releases Automated Medical Bill Review Software
Mitchell, a provider of technology, connectivity and information solutions to the property/ casualty claims and collision repair industries, announced the commercial release of Decision Point 8, a completely automated medical bill review and workflow solution for first and third-party liability adjusters.
“ICD-10 will have a big impact on the property & casualty insurance and healthcare industries in 2014,” said Shahin Hatamian, vice president of Product Management and Strategy. “With this major release of Decision Point 8, we are well ahead of the October 2014 deadline for the changeover to ICD-10 and are empowering Mitchell clients with the latest technology to manage liability claims handling.”
Decision Point 8 is an end-to-end medical bill review platform enabling adjusters in the auto casualty industry to make informed decisions around medical bills related to liability claims.
This release features the ability for mixed code claims to be processed with both ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes, which will be beneficial when medical treatment occurs before and after the implementation date. Adjusters will also have access to an ICD-10 Diagnosis code look-up feature.
