The Institutes Partner With CAS
The Institutes and the Casualty Actuarial Society have announced a strategic alliance formed between the two organizations at the CAS Annual Meeting on November 16, 2015 in Philadelphia.
Both organizations share a similar mission of delivering educational solutions for risk management and property-casualty insurance professionals. For more than 20 years, The Institutes and the CAS have collaborated on knowledge offerings, and this formal alliance will allow them to build on their existing relationship and further serve the needs of the industry in more innovative ways.
“We’ve seen that the field of actuarial science offers not only some of the top rising career opportunities within our industry, but also roles that provide much-needed insight during times of financial risk and uncertainty,” said Peter L. Miller, CPCU, president and chief executive officer of The Institutes. “The Institutes look forward to combining our proven capabilities and expertise with the thought leadership of the CAS. We are confident that our alliance will yield great benefits for both of our organizations as well as the industry.”
The Institutes and the CAS plan to continue collaborating on the maintenance and support of CAS online basic education courses and exam services, in addition to the development of new solutions related to growing industry trends such as data analytics.
