Jennifer Salazar has joined Property Damage Appraisers’ (PDA) C-suite leadership team as chief financial officer. The role rounds out the PDA leadership team as well as further strengthens the company to meet client needs and capture the growth opportunity within the insurance industry.

Salazar is responsible for aiding PDA’s executive team in developing, implementing and executing PDA’s strategic business plan. She directs all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to responsibility for profit and loss management. She is also responsible for the finance department, including accounting, financial reporting, cash/treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, risk management and employee benefits.

Previously, Salazar worked at the International Bowling Campus – a diverse group of companies in the bowling industry. As the chief financial officer, she oversaw all aspects of the company such as finance, accounting and human resource functions including budgeting, audit, tax, long-range forecasting, personnel policies and procedures as well as insurance activities. Prior to that, she worked as the director of accounting for American Consolidated Media. Here she consolidated financial results of approximately 100 local newspapers over 18 geographic regions across the U.S. generating greater than $80 million in sales with 800 employees.

Alex Hooper was promoted to the position of claim examiner, Ashley Jenkins was promoted to the position of claim representative I and Kristin Johnson was promoted to claims representative II in the Occupational Injury Unit, according to Jeff Pettus, president and chief executive officer of Tenn.-based Brentwood Services Administrators Inc. (BSA).

Hooper, Jenkins and Johnson joined BSA as claim assistants in the occupational injury program.

Jenkins was promoted to claim examiner in September 2015 and previously worked in customer service for ACS-Xerox in Nashville, Tenn.

Johnson was promoted to claim representative I in September 2015. Previously, Johnson served as a claim examiner in the Occupational Accident Program since March 2014.

Atlanta-based Crawford & Company, an independent providers of claims management to insurers and self-insured entities, has named James Kochinksi vice president and chief litigation counsel.

Kochinski is responsible for all professional liability lawsuits and non-litigated errors and omissions (E&O) matters in the United States, including e-discovery and records and information management.

His expertise includes litigation management, insurance, compliance, regulatory, risk analysis, resource management, marketing, distribution and best practices. He is equally qualified in cost containment, insurance operations, relationship development and collections. His most recent position was assistant vice president and lead counsel for Assurant, Inc.

Kochinski received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

FastTrack RTW Services & Solutions named Paul D. Taylor, formerly senior vice president of Regional Market Business Unit at MetLife, chief operating officer, a newly created position within FastTrack. Taylor will report to Thomas Capato, CEO.

Effective immediately, Taylor will assume responsibility for FastTrack’s Career Service Tools, Transitional Service Tools, Occupational Matching Tools & Employability Assessment Verification Tools for product, sales/marketing, and the operations and services organization.

Prior to this appointment, Taylor was responsible for MetLife’s Regional Market Strategic Administrative solutions, ran MetLife’s Group Disability business, and spent 17 years with Unum in a variety of Operational leadership roles managing 1,000+ employees in their claims organization.
