Rising Tide Partners (formerly Insurance Learning Systems) announced an invitation to claims organizations to register their adjusters for complimentary seats at a beta release of The 360° Adjuster, its new online training course in persuasive communication and negotiation designed exclusively for insurance claims handlers. The all-new programming was built using PRISMS for Claims Adjusters as its foundation. The new online program is a comprehensive update and full redesign of the original course, including skills and tools for digital communication channels, as well as cutting-edge methodologies from neuroscience for persuasive negotiation.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions, part of RELX Group, announced it is acquiring the Crash and Project business group Appriss, a public safety business that provides technology solutions for the efficient collection of crash reports and electronic citations. LexisNexis will utilize the acquired technology within its LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions portfolio, a comprehensive electronic crash and incident reporting suite, to enhance its capabilities to provide a more complete solution to the law enforcement community.
As a result of the acquisition, with the addition of more than 3,500 law enforcement agencies across 38 states, citizens and insurers will have real-time access to crash reports. Law enforcement agencies will be able to leverage a wizard-based crash reporting application as well as analytics, mapping, data visualization and state-wide crash reporting.
The Crash and Project business group has offices in Martinsville, Indiana and Louisville, Kentucky and its 66 employees will join LexisNexis through the acquisition.
GEICO announced plans to expand it regional operations office in Western New York with an additional facility at 150 Crosspoint Parkway, Getzville, N.Y.
With this expansion, the insurer expects to add more than 600 new jobs in Western New York over the next six years. The company will also invest nearly $11 million to fit out and equip its current and additional offices to accommodate the new jobs.
The expansion brings new opportunities for careers in sales, customer service and claims service.
