Tower MSA Partners Launches Quarterly Webinar Series
Tower MSA Partners is launching a free, quarterly webinar series to help payers become more proficient in settling workers’ compensation claims, Medicare Secondary Payer compliance and Medicare Set-Asides.
The first webinar on January 23 at 2 p.m. Eastern features a special guest instructor, Kerri Poe, CSCC, on the topic “Simple Cost Savings with a Structured MSA.”
“One of the simplest ways to lower the cost of a settlement is through a structured MSA that provides the injured worker a consistent stream of funds for injury related medical care over their life expectancy,” said Tower’s Chief Compliance Officer Dan Anders.
Attendees will learn how structured MSAs work, how the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services calculate a structured MSA, and how to convert a lump-sum MSA into a structured one.
“We’ll also look at the role of a structured settlement broker during pre-settlement negotiations and post settlement,” Anders added.
Future topics may include MSA cost mitigation, Medicare Advantage plan reimbursement, and effective Medicare conditional payment identification and resolution. To receive webinar notifications, please sign up for Tower’s MSP Compliance Blog at https://towermsa.com/blog/.
