Claims People: Sedgwick, Lodestone Security and Global Risk Services
Sedgwick, a Memphis-based national claims administrator, has promoted Mike Arbour as chief executive officer and Bob Peterson as president.
Sedgwick said that Arbour is only the third CEO since Sedgwick was founded in 1969. He replaces David North, who will stay on as executive chairman and will continue to be active with the company, according to a press release.
Sedgwick said during the 25 years of North’s tenure, the company’s annual sales grew from $50 million to $3.5 billion.
Arbour was previously group president of global operations. Prior to joining Sedgwick in 2016, he worked for nearly 15 years at VeriClaim, first as chief financial officer and for the past 10 years as president and CEO, according to his Linkedin page. Before then, Arbour was vice president at the Sprout Group.
Peterson was president of sales and marketing before his promotion. He started with Sedgwick in 1992 as an executive vice president for client development.
Sedgwick said it employs 27,000 people in 65 countries. The company started out as a regional claims administrator had has grown steadily through “organic business development and strategic acquisitions,” the company says on its website.
Lodestone Security, a cybersecurity specialist own by Beazley, has appointed Frank Luzsicza as chief executive officer.
Luzsicza will lead Lodestone’s cybersecurity and breach response teams for clients in North America, the company said in a press release. He has more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, technology and risk management.
Luzsicza joins Lodestone from TÜV Rheinland Group, where he was executive vice president and a member of the group executive council. Frank was responsible for the firm’s end-to-end global cyber security and digital services business.
Before TÜV Rheinland Group, he held leadership positions at IBM Security and was an active board member supporting the cyber security start-up community.
Lodestone Security was established in 2017 by Beazley, a specialist insurer that provides cyber and breach response insurance.
Global Risk Solutions, a Miami-based provider of claims adjusting and environmental risk management services, has appointed Suzanne Ziemann as assistant vice president of business development in its property and casualty solutions division.
Ziemann was previously assistant vice president and head of primary casualty claims for Axis Capital, where she was responsible for an internal domestic primary casualty adjusting team as well as third-party administration partners, the company said in a press release.
Before that, she was national sales and account manager for two large claims administration companies. Ziemann has a bachelor’s degree in finance, with an emphasis in risk management, and holds the Casualty Claim Law Associate designation.
Ziemann, who is based in Atlanta, will work with Rob Edwards, assistant vice president of business development. He joined GRS in February and is based in Providence, Rhode Island. Both report to Falin McMellon, senior vice president of business development.
