Charles Taylor Adjusting has promoted Cullen Sophy to the position of US chief executive officer of adjusting and technical services.
Cullen has served as executive vice president of property at Charles Taylor for the past four years. He succeeds Vince Cole, “who is leaving the company to pursue another opportunity outside the loss-adjusting industry,” Charles Taylor said in a press release.
Cullen has spearheaded the expansion of the US property team, which has been a key driver of the company’s rapid growth in the US market, Charles Taylor said. The London-based company said revenues from the US adjusting and technical services business have increased eight fold over the past five years.
Cullen is based in Pasadena, California. He had served in a variety of leadership role during a 25-year career in the insurance industry, including positions as head of specialty services and vice president of operations.

The Dallas-based adjusting company said McCoy will be responsible for business development in the region. He will be based in Hartford, Connecticut.
McCoy has more than a decade of experience in property insurance, ranging from roles as inside examiner, construction and restoration, middle of market claims, high net worth and commercial sectors, CRU Group said in a press release.
McCoy was a general adjuster for Sedgwick in Hartford from 2018 until May, according to his Linkedin page. He was previously a senior property adjuster for Engle Martin & Associates and a high net worth property adjuster for Fireman’s Fund.
Mosaic Insurance, a Bermuda-based specialty insurer, has hired Elissa Doroff as head of claims for North America.
Doroff will be based in New York and over time will expand the unit’s scope to serve a broad geography encompassing the US and Canada, Mosaic said in a press release.
Her appointment follows the addition of Rachel Haffenden to Mosaic’s claims team. She joined the insurer’s London office last month as senior claims adjuster.
Natalie Graham, a lawyer who previously held managerial roles at Syndicate 4000 and Aon, has led the division since Mosaic’s launch in February 2021.
Doroff started her insurance career as claims counsel with American International Group, and later was cyber and technology product manager at AXA XL. She also has extensive experience counseling companies and proactively mitigating risk from her tenure on the broker side, including roles at Marsh and Lockton, Mosaic said. Prior to 2006, she began her legal career in tax with Deloitte.
Envista Forensics has hired Neil Goodrich as chief innovation officer.
The Chicago-based company said Goodrich will step into the company’s ongoing “digital transformation initiative,” and will work closely with team members across diverse parts of the business.
