Insurance Journal’s Jergler Named Editor of Claims Journal
Claims Journal, a Wells Media Company, has named Don Jergler as editor. He succeeds Jim Sams who retired in January.
Jergler has covered the insurance industry for over 20 years and holds multiple nominations and an AZBEE award from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE). He is also the Western Region Editor of Claims Journal’s sister publication Insurance Journal, where he reports on the region’s P/C insurance news. He is also the host of Insurance Journal’s popular Insuring Cannabis Podcast.
Jergler worked for several daily newspapers before heading into B2B media, including serving as business editor of the Antelope Valley Press, and as a reporter at the Pasadena Star-News and later the Long Beach Press-Telegram. He continued to do freelance work for daily newspapers, with his work appearing often in the Los Angeles Times and Orange County Register.
