Houston Insurance Women Name New Officers
The Houston Association of Insurance Women (HAIW) announced their new officers for 2004.
They are: president – Merry Jane Eversole, American Financial Services; president elect – Sharon Hill, Harco Insurance Services; vice president – Patricia Barnes-Casteig; The Comp Solutions Network; secretary – Stephanie Goldsmith, Harco Insurance Services; and treasurer – Dianne Wilson, The Comp Solutions Network.
Eversole has been the South Texas marketing manager forAmerican Financial Services Inc. since April 1999. In January 2004 their name changed to AFS/IBEX Financial Services. She has been in insurance-related businesses since 1979 when she organized an insurance restoration company in Houston.
Eversole was the executive director of the Federation of Insurance Women of Texas (FIWT). She is active in the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAH) where she was recognized in 2003 as Affiliate of the Year. Currently she is serving as chairman of the Membership Committee and is a member of the Census Committee for IIAH. She is also serving a second term as member of the Host Committee of Texas Surplus Lines Association (TSLA). Eversole is also a member of the Insurance Professionals of Bellaire (IPOB), Insurance Women of San Antonio (IWSA) and the Independent Insurance Agents of San Antonio (IIASA).
Eversole has helped organize charity golf outings for more than 20 years, including those for the NFL Alumni of Houston, “Be an Angel,” MDA, Bum Phillips Charity Golf Classic and the Old Timers Baseball Golf Tournament.
