Owens Joins Higginbotham’s Risk Management Unit
North Texas-based Higginbotham & Associates, one of the nation’s 100 largest independent insurance brokerages, announced that George Owens has been named risk services provider in the firm’s Risk Management Department. With the addition of Owens, the unit is expanding its offerings to include contractual and operational risk services.
Owens, with 15 years experience in contractual risk management, has worked within a variety of industries to help both U.S. and international businesses secure financial stability by identifying and resolving risks embedded in their agreements and contracts.
Higginbotham’s in-house Risk Management Department partners with businesses of all sizes and trades to help prevent human, physical and financial loss as well as manage the impact of claims should they occur.
In addition to the contractual risk services provided by Owens, offerings include custom safety programs such as ergonomic, fleet and accident control training, property profiles as well as claims reviews, reporting and consultation. Higginbotham’s loss control specialists serve as client advocates, negotiating on the clients’ behalf to ensure they obtain the most equitable premiums and settlements possible.
Owens has occupied insurance and risk management positions at Alexander & Alexander, C.L. Frates and Company and McGriff, Seibels & Williams.
