IIA of Houston to Conduct CISR Program in Jan. of 2006
The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research and the Independent Insurance Agents of Houston have announced that the IIA of Houston will take over the administration of the Certified Insurance Service Representatives (CISR) Program in Houston, effective January 2006.
The CISR Program, founded in 1986, is a designation program as well as a continuing education opportunity, and a popular source of insurance product and service education for all front-line service professionals, or any employee of an agency, company, or insurance-related business. Currently, more than 20,000 insurance professionals nationwide hold the CISR designation.
“We are working closely with IIAH President Donald E. “Woody” Woodard Jr., Executive Director Carole Shelton, and Director of Education Renee’ Stager to make this transition smoothly and seamlessly,” said William T. Hold, Ph.D., president of The National Alliance. “By early 2006 we will be able to offer an expanded CISR schedule in the Houston area and throughout Texas.”
“Since May 2004, the IIA of Houston has conducted the Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) Program in the Houston area, and taking on the coordination and delivery of the five CISR courses through our Association was a natural progression.” Woodard explained.
