Liberty Mutual, Regional Sub America First Insurance Ready to Help Those Impacted by Rita
As Hurricane Rita strengthens across the Gulf of Mexico with her eye toward the Texas shoreline, Liberty Mutual Group is prepared to respond to customers’ potential property damage. Liberty Mutual and its regional subsidiary America First Insurance will have catastrophe teams ready to assist the areas hardest hit by the storm.
Liberty Mutual auto and homeowner customers can report their claims 24 hours a day by calling 1-800-2-CLAIMS (1-800-225-2467); and America First Insurance customers can report their claims at 1-877-263-7890.
“Preparation is the best defense against a hurricane,” said Sue White, Liberty Mutual vice president, Personal Property Claims. “You can’t change Rita’s path, but you can certainly take action to minimize the impact she will have on your home and family.”
The aftermath of a hurricane can be equally dangerous, with severe flooding likely. Liberty Mutual reminds homeowners that only a flood insurance policy from the National Flood Insurance Program covers flood damage.
