Safeco Adds Mobile Claims Service Unit in Houston Following Rita
Safeco has established a special mobile claims unit at the Houston Insurance Assistance Center to serve customers recovering from Hurricane Rita. Safeco professionals will be available at that location to initiate the claim process and expedite payments for customers who have experienced a loss.
The unit is located at 6059 South Loop East in Houston, the same location as the Federal Emergency Management Association’s Disaster Recovery Center, which is providing assistance to Hurricane Katrina victims.
Safeco may add an additional mobile claims unit in the Beaumont, Texas
area once residents are allowed to return to their homes.
Meanwhile, Safeco’s National Catastrophe Team professionals are working from Lufkin, Tyler, Crockett and surrounding areas in Texas and have begun inspecting properties in Beaumont and Port Arthur.
Customers who have phone service and find damage to their vehicle, boat, home or small-business property should call 1-800-332-3226 to file a claim.
