MedAlert Convicted of Workers’ Comp Fraud
Texas Mutual Insurance Company reported that MedAlert Inc. pleaded guilty to workers’ compensation fraud-related charges.
The Travis County 331st District Court ordered MedAlert to pay $2,842 in restitution to Texas Mutual Insurance Company and pay a $2,500 fine.
Texas Mutual Insurance Company alleged that MedAlert committed fraud by double-billing for medical services rendered.
