Texas to Host Southern Workers’ Comp Administrators Meeting
The Texas Department of Insurance and Commissioner of Workers’ Compensation Albert Betts are hosting the 59th Annual Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrators (SAWCA) Convention on July 14-18, 2007, in Austin.
Insurance carriers, health care providers, employers and employee organizations in the Texas workers’ compensation system are invited to attend. The convention will be held at the Hyatt Regency Austin on Town Lake and includes educational sessions, exhibits and networking opportunities.
Since 1949 SAWCA has provided workers’ compensation professionals the opportunity to interact and discuss workers’ compensation issues, legislation and international trends that effect the management of workers’ compensation. The association’s membership includes administrators from Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, District of Colombia and the Virgin Islands.
