Texas Workers’ Comp Stakeholder Meeting Set for Aug. 1
The Texas Department of Insurance Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) announced it will hold a stakeholder meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 1, 2007, to allow for comment on informal working draft rules concerning reimbursements for hospital facility services provided in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
The stakeholder meeting will be held in the Tippy Foster Room at the DWC Central Office, 7551 Metro Center Dr., Suite 100, in Austin.
Comments on the informal working draft rules will enable the DWC to propose formal rules to more effectively regulate the workers’ compensation system. Comments on the informal working draft rules are not comments on any formal rules. System participants will have the opportunity to comment on formal proposed rules after the rules are published in the Texas Register.
The informal working draft rules are posted on the agency Web site at: www.tdi.state.tx.us/wc/rules/planning/drafts.html.
Written comments can be submitted to the DWC via e-mail to InformalRuleComments@tdi.state.tx.us by 5:00 p.m. on Aug. 1, 2007.
