Texas Restaurant Owner Arrested on Arson Charges
The Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Boerne Fire Marshals Office and the Texas State Fire Marshals Office announced the arrest of Joseph Stasny, a 39-year-old resident of Boerne, Texas, for federal arson charges relating to a commercial fire at his restaurant.
The fire occurred at Stasny’s restaurant, Papa Dawggz, in Boerne – which is near San Antonio – on Sept. 5, 2007. The fire that started at his business also destroyed several adjacent businesses in the same shopping center. Damages were estimated at more than half a million dollars.
